MEET THE COACHES

Rustin Klafka

I began working with athletes when we lived in Muskogee Oklahoma at Champion Fitness and later at CrossFit Stereo.

I owe much of my success in this journey to my good friend Chris Pearson, owner of REFORM Strength and Conditioning.  He is the guy that gave me my first coaching job and we have been lucky enough to work together for the past 5 years on different projects and fitness ventures.

During my time in Oklahoma I was able to earn a degree in Dietetics and several training certifications.

Our time in Oklahoma ended when I was offered a Head Strength and  Conditioning position at Slaton High School for the girl’s athletic program.  Yes.  You read that correctly.  I am the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Slaton Girls Athletics.  I was also named the Head Girls

Track coach my first year and more recently given the Head Cross Country Coach position. After working with a variety of athletes, and then moving to working in a public school athletic program, I realized that athletes are generally treated the same.  Each athlete is different.  Each sport is different.  Therefore each athlete needs to be assessed and trained differently.  There will be pieces of overlap between athletes but their training must reflect their individual needs. This is what I do best – find where athletes are lacking and begin to develop those areas while improving the areas in which they are already strong. PEAK MVMNT develops mentally and physically balanced athletes. My goal is to help athletes not only reach their goals but smash through them feeling stronger, faster and more mobile than before. The first few sessions will serve as an athlete assessment and goal setting time.  Based on these sessions, an athlete specific program will be written. Each session will be purposefully designed for an athlete to develop better movement as well as increasing her/his mental toughness and focus.
